Training Needs Assessment for officials/Engineers of GVWV & VSWS Department and APSHCL

Eco Niwas Samhita (ENS-Part1) was launched by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), Ministry of Power, Government of India in the year 2018. This code provides minimum building envelope performance standards to ensure energy efficiency and natural ventilation potential for residential buildings.

Andhra Pradesh State Housing Corporation Limited (APSHCL) is keen to integrate the provisions of Eco-Niwas Samhita in the upcoming 30 Lakh affordable housing project to ensure that the houses are energy efficient and thermally comfortable. Accordingly, APSHCL is planning to train around 15,000 engineers of the Department of GVWV & VSWS – GoAP in Eco-Niwas Samhita/ Energy Efficient Housing Construction.

In view of this, the Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI) in partnership with the Indo-Swiss Building Energy Efficiency Project (BEEP) and Andhra Pradesh Energy Conservation Mission (APSECM) floats this questionnaire amongst officials/engineers to understand the knowledge gap in accordance with Eco Niwas Samhita/Energy Efficient Housing Construction.
